This workshop challenges conventional perspectives on inclusion, disabilities, and abilities—empowering teams to design for a world that works for everyone. By shifting the lens of design towards accessibility, we unlock the potential to create products, services, and systems that are truly transformative.

Meaning

Innovation often comes from refining what already exists—but what if the most groundbreaking ideas emerge from designing for those who have been left out?
 Many of the world’s most impactful solutions originated from recognizing mismatched interactions—moments where someone struggled to navigate their environment. By embracing diverse perspectives and needs, we can build a future that is inclusive by design, not by afterthought.

Overview

This workshop starts with a role-playing exercise that immerses participants in the lived experiences of inclusion and exclusion. From there, teams will explore the principles of inclusive design, rethink accessibility beyond compliance, and develop solutions that cater to a diverse range of users.
 By the end of the session, participants will validate their ideas through an inclusion-first lens—ensuring that what they create is built for real-world diversity.
